Cycling is closely linked to the environment and we believe that when cyclists love and care for nature, it rewards us with spectacular experiences.
The founder of Patagonia Biking, Mariano Lorefice is highly active in environmental awareness campaigns by promoting the use of bicycles and caring for the environment. A native of Argentina who now lives in Italy, Mariano organized his first major cycling trips to Argentina in 1993 in which he covered 14,000km, connecting all 23 Argentine provinces and 116 schools throughout the country before ending the journey in Ushuaia. This stunning Patagonian city has always been synonymous with adventure travel. Due to its location at the southernmost point of South America, it is known affectionately as "the city at the end of the world", but for Mariano and Patagonia Biking, it will always be the highlight of a trip that peaks into a better, more natural world with more trees and life for all species on the planet.
